Historical Background of CONCEPCION Elementary School
Established in 1946 it started a humble nonformal education School. Concepcion Elementary School is one of the oldest school in Manjuyod District, Negros Oriental. The original owner of the land was Mrs. Tranquinlina Palomar Caseres a resident of Concepcion Manjuyod.She was requested by the barangay people to make them use a parcel of her land for a school site. As a good Samaritan, she generously grant the request of the barangayanon. She let them use the 6,150 sq. m. of her land.
After decades as the school continually exist as utilized by the Department of Education it was later being applied for an agreement through usufract contract or as made between the owner of the land and the office of the mayor in the Municipality of Manjuyod. The said agreement paved the establishment of a formal education. Later on, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) constructed a makeshift building which became the temporary classroom
for students.
It started as a primary school and after decades, it turned into a complete elementary school as multigrade school having three regular teachers as multigrade teachers.And later the school has Kindergarten class which was handled by a Nationally Funded kindergarten teacher At present, the school has instructional buildings namely:
· 2CL (BEEF DEP ED Building)
· 2CL (QRF Building–two classroom ) and
